Arnold W. McDuffy, Jr.

Arnold W. McDuffy, Jr., was born August 3, 1961, in Darby, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Rachel and the late Arnold McDuffy, Sr. Arnold (aka Pepe) entered into rest, suddenly on March 14, 2016. In 1962 he and his family moved from Pennsylvania for employment to Jersey City, NJ. In 1973 his father’ job transferred to Edison and they relocated to New Brunswick. He spent the rest of his life in New Brunswick. He was enrolled in the New Brunswick School District, however he graduated from North Brunswick. Much to his parents surprise he was accepted to college. He attended University of Albuquerque, New Mexico for one semester and transferred to University of New Mexico. There he pledged to Omega Phi Si. When his grades started to go down Mom and Dad decided to stop paying tuition. Pepe was Baptized at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Brown, and was an inactive member of First Baptist Church. He did believe in God, and we would sometime sit and watch T.D. Jakes. Pepe was loved by all; he had a smile and laugh that you couldn’t resist. There have been so many Facebook messages about his passing, and I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words of comfort.. Pepe loved all sports. He played Pop Warner Little League baseball, High School Football, until he was injured, Ran track, played after-school basketball, and even played golf was a Golf Caddy for a short period. He loved watching TV and riding his Bike. Pepe had a personality that not only his mother could love, but whoever he met would feel the same way. He would go out of his way to help others, even if he did not know them. He would borrow his sister's tool to help them. Pepe loved his sister Sherry, but got on her last nerve. She was Army, he was Civilian and they clashed a little on how things should be done. Pepe's favorite dress code was sweat pants and sneakers. His employment record was quite lengthy, he was a package driver for UPS, worked for L’Oreal, Crate Barrel, Coca Cola, and several other jobs. He could always find employment. Arnold leaves to cherish his memory his mother Rachel, his sister Sherry (McDuffy) Hodge, his son Devin McDuffy, 2 grandchildren Grace and Davion, his Aunts, Cynthia Stewart, Estelle Izzard, Marion Mitchell, Arnetia Blandford, Suzanne Bowling, Cora Miah, Paula McDuffy, Renee McDuffy-Harris, Uncles, Joseph Blandford, Lee McDuffy Gregory McDuffy, Bernard McDuffy, along with a host of relatives and friends.
