Mother Betty Lois Wallace March 4, 1942 – June 30, 2026 On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Mother Betty Lois Wallace peacefully entered into eternal rest. A devoted servant of God, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful friend, she leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, humble service, and unconditional love. Betty Lois Wallace was born on March 4, 1942, in Fargo, Georgia to the late James B. Clark and Mamie Henderson. At an early age she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she attended the Jacksonville Public School System. She later relocated to Trenton, New Jersey where she was united in Holy Matrimony to Arthur Lee Wallace. Betty worked at Mercer Street Friends Center for thirteen years before becoming employed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she served as a Home Organizer and Clerk/Receptionist for the Developmentally Disabled. At an early age Betty accepted Christ and became a member of The Messiah Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida under the leadership of the late Rev. D. J. Bennette. After moving to Trenton in 1975, she united with Holy Cross Church of Christ under the leadership of the late Bishops J. B. Walker and W. Jones. During her years of faithful service, Betty served in many capacities including the Samaritan Daughters, Vice President of the Hospitality Service, Sick and Shut-In Ministry, Usher Board, Kitchen Committee, Upper Room Club, Second Millers Club, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Wednesday Night Bible Study, the Youth Department, Prayer Band, and as Co-Chairperson of the Deaconess Board. She later joined Resurrected Life Evangelistic Church under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Dunston in Morrisville, Pa. Betty’s favorite scriptures were Numbers 23:19 and Hebrews 11:1. Her testimony was: “I know God for His loving, saving, healing, providing and keeping power.” She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Lee Wallace; her beloved son, Timothy R. Wallace, daughter Elaine Wallace; her brothers, Roosevelt Evans of Jacksonville, Florida, uncle Allen Henderson; her aunt, Gladys Henderson; and her dear friends Elder D. Murray, Mother C. Murray, Sister Loretta Davison, Mother L. Thomas, and Missionary E. James. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sons, Rickey Wallace and Arthur Lee Wallace, Jr., both of Miami, Florida; her daughters, Annette L. Johnson, Audrey L. Johnson, Luella Robinson (Jackie), Linda Hudson all of Trenton, New Jersey, Cynthia Wallace, Judy Wallace of Miami, Florida, and Dawn Wallace of Huntsville Alabama; her first cousin, Rev. R. Logan; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-laws; her special friend, Deaconess S. Leggett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
