Cebrina B Eke

Cebrina Caryn Eke was born on June 4, 1967, in Trenton, NJ. She was the second daughter to the late Edith M. Banks and the late Cary R. Banks. She departed this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Cebrina was a lifelong Mercer County resident, residing in Ewing, Trenton, Hamilton and Lawrence. She most recently worked for the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services for the state of NJ. Her three children were her passion. She was extremely involved in their extra-curricular activities and could often be heard from the side lines cheering them on! Her joy was found in helping them achieve their dreams. One of her proudest moments was receiving the 2013 Parent of the Year Award from Minding Our Business, Inc. They recognized her for her steadfast commitment to advancing the development of her children and her generous support of the Minding Our Business program. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Baptist Church and served on the Jackson Ensemble as well as assisted with the Youth Choir and Junior Ushers. Cebrina leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Fred Eke, two sons, Nnamdi Banks-Eke, and Nkemdi Eke, daughter, Nnenna Eke, two sisters, Catrina Banks and Catina Hood, brother-in-law, Jason Hood, two nephews Ellis Hood and Preston Hood, sister-in-law, Joy Ahuannya of Imo State, Nigeria and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Service, 300 North Willow Street, Trenton. Rev. Dr. Darrell Armstrong, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, Trenton, officiated.
