KariKari Boateng

Karikari Boateng "Nana Boateng", age 58, passed away on February 24, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Health Network Muhlenberg. He was born June 5, 1962 in Atibie-Kwahu in the Eastern Region, Ghana to the late Nana Yaw Boateng (I), former Dwantuah Hene of New Juabeng Traditional Council, Koforidua and Madam Vida Otema (Trader). He was a Presbyterian and the third of seven siblings. Growing up the family lived in Accra where Nana Boateng completed his elementary education at Harrow International. They later moved to Koforidua in the Eastern Region where he partnered with his father in the family contracting business. In the year 1999, Nana Boateng won the diversity visa lottery with the sole help of his cousin ?Alfred Kwabena Frimpong popularly known as "Kimpo." He joined Kimpo in New York and along the line Nana Boateng had to move to New Jersey as he landed a job at the Hilton Hotel in New Brunswick. Later, he decided to change careers and worked for the US Postal Service. This made him move to various states such as Nebraska, Chicago, Delaware, and finally Pennsylvania where he lived until his demise. He was purpose driven, always engaged at work and was dedicated to his work effortlessly. With these qualities and charisma at work, he won the hearts of his colleagues and anyone who came in contact with him. To sum it up, he always left a flawless impact on anyone he came across. Nana Boateng's passion for cars was well known. Not to mention, he enjoyed all types of music and always shared his love for jazz, R&B, highlife, hiplife, just to mention of few. This was always shared together with his family members and friends. We will forever cherish his warming presence and his infectious smile. He lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many people, especially with his generosity and willingness to always help anyone in need. Karikari leaves behind, his wife, Mabel Kwateng, aka Ama Dufie, five children, Joe, Anita, Jeffrey, Jeff, and Brianna; grandson, Maxwell; mother, Madam Vida Otema and six siblings, Grace Darko, Salome Darko, Kujo Okyere Boateng, Fredrick Boakye(Bola), Sandra Obeng Boateng and Fred Ohene Kena.
