Carol A. Miller Smith
January 12, 1947 - February 6, 2022
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4 Carol A. Miller-Smith was born Jan 12, 1947 to Lula Mae Foster and the late Jesse Lee Miller in New Brunswick NJ. She was raised in Cranbury New Jersey where she attended school and graduated from Hightstown High School. Carol had a long career at Johnson & Johnson in Skillman, NJ where she worked until her retirement. She resided for much of her life in New Brunswick, NJ with her late husband Gilmer Smith. Rosie, as she was affectionately known, was raised a Baptist but found joy in her Catholic faith in her mid forties. She was quiet and kept to herself but was infamously known for her infectious smile. She was predeceased by her eldest son Patrick Miller, her sister Deborah Foster, and leaves to mourn her daughter Sondra Griffin (Hugh) and her youngest son William Smith, as well as two brothers, Jesse Miller (Phyllis), Christopher Foster, and one sister Beverly Foster-Rice. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Aleem Johnson, Dikela Y Harvey, Aamira Harvey (Brian) Charea Harvey, Shanea Behea (Derrick), Harry Harvey Jr, William Carter, Bianca Carter and Saniyah Smith; as well as 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends including Sakisha Chandler. Sad and sudden was the call of one so dearly loved by all. We do not know, we cannot tell, but our father knows, and all is well. Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God also believe in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father but by me. John 14;1-4,6 The family expresses extreme gratitude for all of the moral support, words of comfort and endearment from relatives, family and friends. Thank you for all acts of love and sympathy extended to us. May God continue to bless and keep each of you safe in the hollow of His mighty hand. Services were held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Brunswick, under the direction of Anderson Funeral Service.
