Derrick T Middleton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Derrick T. Middleton was born July 28, 1964, to the late Doris Middleton and Wilbert Middleton, in New Brunswick, NJ. Derrick was a long-time resident of East Brunswick NJ before moving to Old Bridge NJ several years ago. He graduated from East Brunswick High School Where he played for the High School football team. He also met & married his high school sweetheart Stephanie Middleton, who preceded him in death in 2013. Derrick worked several years for Yellow Freight before joining the New Brunswick Police department in 1998. After leaving the police department he held various employment positions until his time of death. Derrick enjoyed riding his motorcycles and playing video games. He got his love of sports starting with playing little league, baseball. His favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees and was a die-hard fan of both teams. In addition to his mother he was preceded by his brother Bryan Bailey. Cherishing his memory his father, Wilbert Middleton; special friend, Joyce Brown; sister, Michele Jones; two brothers, Steve Middleton (Mariela) and Todd Jones (Seeta); nephews, Anthony, Solomon, TJ and Austin; nieces, Zoe, Renee, Laila, Myia, Shanti and Isabella; four great nieces and nephews in the UK; an uncle, Herbert Middleton; an aunt, Eva Ferguson; a host of cousins and friends; a special God Mother, Elissa Hairston; God sisters, Dawn Johnson and Stephanie Hairston; devoted family friends, Carol and Fred Westbrook and Ashley Johnson and his special companion, his dog, Sophie. Derrick will surely be missed by all.
