Obituary Pamela Lynne Brown was born February 19, 1965 in New Brunswick, NJ. The eldest child born to the late Roosevelt Brown Jr. and Harriet Merritt-Brown. She departed this life the morning of March 19, 2022 at her family home in South Plainfield, NJ. Pam, as she was fondly known spent her childhood growing up in South Plainfield, NJ. She attended and graduated from the South Plainfield Public School System. She attended Morgan State University, in Baltimore, MD, majoring in English and Accounting. Upon her return to New Jersey, in 1989, Pam was employed by Middlesex County Department of Corrections, North Brunswick, NJ, as a Corrections Officer. Pam attended the Middlesex County Police Academy in 1989 and graduated in 1990. Pam retired from Middlesex County Department of Corrections in 2015. After retiring Pam earned her CDL class B license, as well as her Sora license, and with that decided to return to the work field. She was employed as a School Bus Driver, a Driver for USPS, and later worked Security for Securitas. Pam attended the former Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center, where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, was baptized, and became a member. She participated with the Singles Ministry and traveled, along with her family, on a cruise to the Caribbean. She also enjoyed traveling with the Singles Ministry to the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Pam truly loved her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, cookouts, and birthday parties. Between working and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter, Pam picked up the sport of bowling. She joined her mother and her mother’s teammates for practice rounds, before joining the team herself, and eventually moving onto tournaments. Pam and her bowling partner placed 4th in the NJ State Seniors Tournament. In the NJ State Seniors All Events, Pam placed 1st. She thoroughly enjoyed her time bowling with her mother on their team Mom and Me. Pam was a movie lover, and especially enjoyed classic movies featuring Bette Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer, and Carry Grant, which all played on the Turner Classic Movie channel. She enjoyed soulful Jazz Music, and artists like Nina Simone and Erykah Badu. Pam was predeceased by her father, Roosevelt Brown Jr., and her brother Michael Bernard Brown. Pam leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother, Harriet Merritt-Brown, daughter, Imana Lynne Brown, granddaughter Luna Lynne Brown-Harrington, uncle, William (Bonnie) Merritt, great aunt Margie Bellamy, aunts Janice Green, Rose Green, and Robin Brown, as well as a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
