Wendy Mahlone Mackey
December 2, 1949 - February 12, 2022
Wendy Mahlone Mackey was born on December 2, 1949 in Fairmont, West Virginia. She graduated from Farmington High School and later attended Fairmont Community College. Wendy later relocated to New Jersey where she was gainfully employed by Sunshine Biscuits in Sayreville, NJ. Later on she worked with Dr. Rev. C. H. Brown Jr. as a church secretary at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset. Wendy was also a wonderful caregiver to various children, including many of her great nieces and nephews. After giving her life to Christ she became a faithful member of The Deliverance Evangelistic Centers, Inc. in Newark NJ under the leadership of Apostle Arturo Skinner. In 1980, after relocating to New Brunswick, Wendy became a member of Deliverance Prayer Revival under the leadership of Pastor Elois Bellamy. She remained a faithful member for over 40 years. She served on multiple auxiliaries. Wendy loved her church family and cherished the duties that were bestowed upon her. Wendy loved the Lord and lived her life as a dedicated Christian. Wendy enjoyed shopping at all the mega supermarkets. Especially finding any reason to go to Costco with her Big Sister, Naomi. She spent her time during her retirement with family, shopping and cooking. Her favorite dish to make was macaroni and cheese. She would bring it to all the family functions. She was a kind and loving person. She also had no problem asking questions and speaking her mind but doing it in a way that made you chuckle. Wendy made an unforgettable impression to those who knew her and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Wendy was predeceased by her mother, Mahlone M. Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories sisters, Naomi Thomas of NJ, Tomesena Enoch of PA, Denalee Baylor of NC; her brother, Darrell Mosley of Nevada; her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, her sister in Christ Sister Linda LoCandro, friends and her church family.
