Lukeisha McNeil Johnson

Lukeisha McNeil Johnson was born on January 20, 1970 in Durham, NC to Joanne McNeil and Allen Hunt. She spent most of her toddler years with her grandmother and often shared warm memories about her and the positive impact she had on her life. Later Lukeisha was moved to New Jersey where she received her education in the Trenton Public School District and became a long resident of Trenton for approximately 45 years. Lukeisha was employed by Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Princeton University and most recently, the City of Trenton. Lukeisha received the gift of the Holy Ghost at a young age and was a faithful and dedicated member of Greater Faith Church in Hamilton, Twp. NJ. She served in many capacities within the Youth Department, Hospitality Committee and the choir. Lukeisha loved to praise God and was a true worshipper. She looked forward to the International Congress and Convention every year and enjoyed the spiritual experiences and meeting new people. Her favorite scriptures were Jeremiah 29:11 and St. John 14:2. Lukeisha loved shopping, cooking, multi-task talking and watching movies while spending time with family and friends. She was a “big kid at heart” and simply loved to have fun. At church picnics, she was known to start water balloon fights and was very competitive in musical chairs and a variety of games. She had a genuine love for people and made a positive impression on those she met throughout her life. Even in her sickness, Lukeisha would always witness to doctors, nurses and many others who came across her path. She lived her life serving others but most important her love and relationship with God was paramount. She was predeceased by her grandparents James and Katie McNeil; aunt Madge Blackstone; niece Itasia McNeil; cousins Sandra and Tommy Blackstone. Lukeisha leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Lorenzo (Art) Johnson; parents Joanne McNeil Barnes and Allen Hunt; seven children, Paul, Sharon, LaToya and Kareem McNeil, Lonzelle Davis, Arthur Simms and Jason Johnson; five siblings, Denise McNeil Biggs (Robert), Edward McNeil, Isis McNeil, Kye and Stephanie Hunt, eleven grandchildren, Samya, Saniyah, Jah’Sai, Jah’Kai, Xavier, Aden, Breyanna, Adam, Tristan, Joshua and Jaxon; special uncle and aunt Samuel and Pearl Holloway and James McNeil; special cousin Akeisha Terry and a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
